Reverend Kenneth F. Hodges

Reverend Kenneth F. Hodges, son of the late Benjamin F. Hodges and the late Lydia Whaley Hodges was born in the Sea Island community of Bennetts Point, SC. He received his early education at Green Pond Elementary School and Walterboro High School.

Upon graduation from high school he worked for two years in New York to prepare financially for college. He entered Clark College in Atlanta, GA where he received the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration in 1977.

In 1983, Hodges entered Morehouse School of Religion of Interdenominational Theological Center, Atlanta, GA and received the Master of Divinity Degree in 1986.

Reverend Hodges returned to his native state in 1986 to become the Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Bennettsville, SC. On August 6, 1995, he resigned from Shiloh to become Pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Reverend Hodges has used his spiritual gifts to advance the Kingdom of God both here and aboard by serving as Moderator of the Old Ashley Association, Faculty of the SC Baptist Congress of Christian Education and Instructor for Morris College Extension Program. He was a member of three ministerial delegations to London and Africa where he taught and preached.

Reverend Hodges has served on numerous Boards, Commissions and Advisory Councils. He has political experiences as Bennettsville City Councilman and as SC State House Representative for District 121.

Pastor Hodges is married to the former Miss Patricia A. Few. They are the parents of three daughters, Kendrea, Kenyatta and Kenithea.
